Sticky reminder: deal with SSH connection loss issues caused by sucky firewalls

Once again I’m seeing a firewall constantly drop the SSH connections I am using.

The most reliable fix is to set the setting  “ClientAliveInterval 120” (the default is zero) in /etc/ssh/sshd_config

After a service sshd restart and re-login the setting is active and the firewall will no longer consider the connection to be terminated.
